SSL Certificates allows a digital signature used on Web pages so users can check their authenticity. In theory, a page with a secure SSL certificate is active at the level of protection of customer data and reliability of its content. By default, Web browsers recognize a number of authorities in the certification authority (CA), so the entire authentication process is automated.
When a Web browser connects to a page without a valid certificate, the user will receive a notice indicating that rather unpleasant untrusted Web. When this happens in a business website, prospective buyers often leave the page and lost sales.
Purchase a certificate is essential, but only the beginning of the process, because then you must configure your server so that you can use. Each secure HTTPS page requires a unique IP address and a certificate that matches your CA. If you check the information of the certificate and the signature is not correct or is not recognized by the CA, the browser will throw an error. If you’re buying a certificate, be sure to document yourself to the fullest, CAs are usually really expensive and you could end up paying hundreds of dollars more than they should.
